Another July godwit chick is found, this time in Northern Ireland

Matthew Tickner, a Conservation Officer with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) in Northern Ireland found and photographed a colour-ringed black-tailed godwit that he saw at Myroe on Lough Foyle, Co. Londonderry, Northern Ireland on Sunday September 14th 2008. The bird was in company of about 10 other godwits (unringed) and a similar number of dunlin. The chick was ringed by the godwit team led by Peter Potts on the 14th July this year at Olafsfjordur, which is just south of Siglufjörður
